- Beat milk, butter and egg into the mashed potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- Place the mixture into a piping bag and pipe “nests” on a greased or non-stick baking tray.
- Brown under the grill or in a hot oven until golden and keep hot.
- In a large pan, fry the onions, garlic and mince then add all other ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Add some water if necessary.
- Spoon the mixture into the nests and serve.
